Our infrastructure projects

Serbia

During the past 11 years, RZD International has implemented several projects to modernise Serbia’s rail infrastructure, including the construction of unique rail facilities: the first double-track railway tunnel in the history of modern Serbia, Čortanovci, which runs on a ballastless track, as well as the longest double-track viaduct in the Balkans, which is three kilometres long and lies in the floodplain of the river Danube.

 

In March 2022, the newly built Belgrade - Novi Sad high-speed railway on the Belgrade - Budapest line was officially opened for trains running at speeds of up to 200 kph.

 

Currently, the second major contract is being implemented in Serbia to create a Unified Railway Dispatch Centre.

 

Promising projects are being developed in Serbia and other countries.

 

Turkmenistan

A draft contract for the modernisation of the car repair plant in Gyzylarbat has been agreed.

 

Cuba

In 2019, a contract was signed for the restoration and modernisation of the railway infrastructure in the Republic of Cuba.

 

Belarus, India
