The Central Directorate for the Management of the Terminal and Warehouse Complex (CM), a branch of Russian Railways, provides a full range of services at its own 750 freight terminals and across the entire railway network of the Russian Federation, as well as on the infrastructure of customers using its mobile field teams, including services such as:

  • loading and unloading operations;
  • storing freight in the common areas of stations on open areas and in covered warehouses;
  • representation of client interests at Russian Railways by proxy, including booking applications for the carriage of goods and primary documentation;
  • first and last mile services by the Company’s own and third-party road vehicles;
  • the development and approval of schemes and drawings for placing the cargo onto the rolling stock and a loading master service;
  • leasing warehouses, offices and open areas owned by Russian Railways;
  • cleaning and washing wagons and containers;
  • temporary storage of goods under customs control;
  • customs clearance of export and import freight;
  • organising the distribution (and other) warehouses for companies in the metallurgical, coal industry, construction and other sectors;
  • organising the dispatch of container trains, including with refrigerated containers;
  • organising specialised terminals for grain, cement and other types of freight;
  • loading, unloading and reloading of export-import freight on, from and between 1435 and 1520 mm gauge rolling stock at Grodekovo, Naushki, Dzerzhinskaya-Novaya (Kaliningrad) and Zabaikalsk stations.

The Central Directorate, together with investors, is developing a network of terminal and logistics centres across the Russian Federation.

The Commercial Freight Transportation Department also provides temporary storage for foreign goods and vehicles under customs control in specially designated and properly equipped premises or other places from the moment the goods and vehicles are presented to the customs authorities until their release or until they are again placed at the disposal of a person (their owner) in accordance with the selected customs procedure.

Russian Railways, together with private investors, is currently implementing a large-scale infrastructure project to create a network of terminal and logistics centres (hereinafter referred to as the TLC network) in the Russian Federation.


ROSZHELDORSNAB

Roszheldorsnab, Russian Railways Supply in English and hereinafter RZHDS, is a branch of Russian Railways that specialises in the provision of warehouse services (Second-Party Logistics or 2PL).

Roszheldorsnab enables its clients to direct commodity (material) flows through its warehouse complexes.

Roszheldorsnab provides a comprehensive warehouse service:

  • clearance of wagons/containers;
  • loading;
  • unloading;
  • storage;
  • assembly of batches;
  • delivery;
  • drying sand;
  • weighing products/wagons;
  • cutting rolled metal etc.

Roszheldorsnab has representative offices in almost all Russia’s regions, with more than 150 warehouse complexes from Kaliningrad in Europe to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in Russia’s Far Eastern region.

The warehouse infrastructure of Russian Railways enables the Company to provide high-quality warehouse services for various types of goods and commodities, including petroleum products. RZD Logistics can also provide warehousing if necessary and offers a full range of storage services:

Storage software provides detailed storage reports in accordance with each client's requirements and in addition facilitates record keeping according to, for example, FIFO or lot number.
