Train service from Kievsky railway station commenced

Киевский вокзалThe decision to build the Kievsky railway station was made in 1912. Thus, the Kievsky railway station became the last one built in Tsarist Russia. Ivan Rerberg was appointed the chief architect of the station. The building, as conceived by the authors, was supposed to become a memorial to the victory in the Battle of Borodino.
