valery tanaev Deputy Managing Director – Chief Engineer
Born on 3 August 1966.
In 1995, he graduated from the Siberian State Academy of Railway Engineering and in 2006 from the Omsk State University of Railway Engineering.
He began his career in 1986 as an assistant locomotive driver at the Novokuznetsk Locomotive Depot at the Kemerovo Railway. Tanaev then worked as a locomotive driver, a driver-instructor of locomotive crews at the above-mentioned depot, chief engineer, and later became the head of the Novokuznetsk passenger car depot and the head of the Novosibirsk locomotive depot at West Siberian Railways. This was followed by the position of chief engineer at the Kuzbass branch of West Siberian Railways, the deputy head of West Siberian and then October Railways for the Locomotive and Carriage fleet, and chief engineer for the North Caucasus Mainline.
In 2009, Tanaev was appointed Deputy Head of October Railways and Chief Auditor for Train Traffic Safety.
In 2011 – 2013, he worked as the Head of the October Directorate for the Repair of Traction Rolling Stock.
In 2013 – 2017, he was appointed Chief Engineer for October Railways, a subsidiary of Russian Railways.
In 2017 – 2022, he took up a position as the Head of Northern Railways, a subsidiary of Russian Railways.
In February 2022, he was appointed Head of Moscow Railways, a subsidiary of Russian Railways.
In December 2024, he became Deputy Managing Director and Chief Engineer of Russian Railways. |
