BOOKING TRAIN TICKETS FOR CHILDREN

At what age does is child eligible for a children’s ticket? How much does it cost?

Fares for children from 5 to 10 years of age.

Children’s fares range from 35% to 70% of the full fare (depending on the train and carriage class).

The age of the child is determined on the day the train journey begins. If the child turns 10 on the day the train departs, a ticket is issued for him/her at the rate for the transportation of children.

For children under 5 years of age who do not occupy a separate seat/berth (1 child per passenger), a ticket is issued free of charge.

Tickets for suburban trains at the children’s tariff are issued for children from 5 to 7 years of age.

Please note that if a child under the age of 5 travels on a train with a separate seat/berth at the children’s fare in the carriage, a non-cash coupon for transportation by road and sea transport can be issued only at a ticket office.
