The Central Directorate for the Management of the Terminal and Warehouse Complex (CM) is a branch of Russian Railways that offers a full range of services at over 650 freight terminals across Russia, with mobile teams available for support at customer locations.

  • loading and unloading operations;
  • freight storage at stations, both in open areas and covered warehouses;
  • first- and last-mile services with owned and contracted vehicles;
  • development and approval of loading schemes and drawings, including expert loading supervision;
  • leasing of Russian Railways warehouses, offices and open spaces;

The United Transport and Logistics Company – Eurasian Railway Alliance (UTLC ERA JSC) – is the first integration project in the development of container transit on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) with parity participation of the parent companies: OJSC Russian Railways, Belarusian Railways State Association and JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstani Railways).

 

UTLC ERA provides container rail freight services along the East – West International Transport Corridor (the "New Silk Road") between the China – Kazakhstan border and Europe, as well as within the EAEU.

 

Transport routes include:

 

  • Transit: China – Europe – China;
  • Import: China – Russia/Belarus;
  • Export: Russia/Belarus – China.

The routes of the JSC United Transportation and Logistics Company Eurasian Rail Alliance (JSC UTLC ERA) service provide a connecting corridor for more than 255 locations for cargo origination/uptake in China, Europe, Russia and Belarus, thereby creating 769 logistics chains across Eurasia.

745,926 Twenty Foot Equivalent unit containers (TEUs) is the total volume of transportation across all services, an increase of 11% compared to 2023.

 

88.6% is the proportion accounted for by the volume of transit between China – Europe – China.

The route speed of transit trains on the broad track 1520mm gauge was 746 km/day, while the fastest transit train was en route for 6.3 days.

 

JSC UTLC ERA TRANSIT services transported cargo worth a total of some 41.5 billion US dollars.

The primary activity of the Federal Freight Company (FFC) is the supply of rolling stock for freight transport, as well as transport forwarding and comprehensive transport services for customers.

 

FFC is actively developing trailer and high-speed container transport, as well as specialized container shipping.

 

Federal Freight Joint Stock Company (FFC) is one of Russia’s largest freight rail operators. FFC is one of the top three operators in the INFOLine RAIL RUSSIA TOP ranking.

 

The company's total wagon fleet (as of 1 May 2025) consists of 134,300 units of rolling stock, including:

 

  • ​gondola cars – 107,400 units;
  • ​tank cars – 6,100 units;
