The train and the journey
High-speed trains also run as double-decker versions.
The trains are consist of three types of modern carriages: sleeping carriages, compartments and carriages with seats. Each train also has a dining car.
The new double-decker carriages are equipped with security and communication control systems, an automated passenger boarding control system and air conditioning and dry closet systems, as well as the "Poputchik" multimedia train portal.
Each compartment has sockets for charging mobile devices. In sleeper carriages, each seat/berth is equipped with an LCD display for viewing video programmes. Individual magnetic key cards provide access to the compartment.
Each double-decker train is adapted for people with disabilities. The trains include a carriage with a special compartment with increased area, a wheelchair lifting device and other devices necessary for a comfortable trip. All the information is duplicated in Braille.
Double-decker high-speed trains also have areas in which children can relax and play.
