Registration of an electronic card by the user

OJSC Russian Railways offers a service for the registration and payment for the participation of passengers of high-speed "Sapsan" and "Lastochka" trains (operated by the Directorate of High-Speed ​​Communications) and the "Ruskeala Express retro train" in marketing campaigns aimed at tariff regulation of the final cost of tickets and electronic tickets (booked via the Internet).

By purchasing the service for participating in the marketing campaign, passengers agree to all the terms and conditions listed below.

As a user of high-speed "Sapsan" and "Lastochka" trains and the "Ruskeala Express retro train", you confirm your right, legal capacity and financial solvency, and also understand the responsibility for the obligations imposed on you as a result of concluding this offer.

If the user does not accept the terms of this offer, he/she is not allowed to register and pay for the participation in marketing promotions. This offer contains all the essential terms for participating in marketing promotions. Electronic cards are not subject to exchange, return or restoration. After giving your consent to the terms of this offer, you must go through the procedure for registering participation in the marketing promotion by providing the necessary personal data. After paying for your participation in the marketing promotion, you will be assigned a personal identification number that matches the number of the electronic card. The assigned identification number is the basis for issuing a ticket or an electronic ticket under a special tariff plan.

Existing special tariff plans for electronic cards:

For "Sapsan", "Lastochka" and "Ruskeala Express retro" trains (carriers are DOSS and OJSC Russian Railways):

  • Universal for the registration of one passenger of any category and age in all high-speed "Sapsan" and "Lastochka" and "Ruskeala Express retro" trains (carriers are DOSS and OJSC Russian Railways) grants the right to apply a special tariff plan 10% lower than the one in effect at the time of registration.

For "Sapsan" trains:

  • Business for the registration of one passenger of any category and age in business class (1C) on all high-speed "Sapsan" trains (carriers DOSS and OJSC Russian Railways), grants the right to apply a special tariff plan 30% lower than the one in effect at the time of registration.

All special tariff plans are available for use when issuing a ticket directly at the ticket offices of OJSC Russian Railways and agents, as well as an electronic ticket online, on the rzd.ru  website, and in the RZD Passengers mobile app.

General rules for refunds, reissues, and electronic registration apply to tickets and electronic tickets issued under a special tariff plan.

Rebooking tickets and electronic tickets issued under a special tariff plan is only allowed for trains participating in this marketing initiative, with an earlier departure in the current day.

Booking tickets and electronic tickets under a special tariff plan is only available for trains departing during the validity period of the issued electronic card.

Tariffs for electronic cards or other special offers may be applied on one order (from 2 to 4 travel tickets). Tariffs for electronic cards and other special offers cannot be applied on one order at the same time.

OJSC Russian Railways has the right to expand the range of special tariff plans and change the terms of current ones without notifying the participants of the promotion.

1. Rules for the registration of participation in the marketing promotion

The registration of participation of the user (passenger) in the marketing promotion of the High-Speed ​​Communications Directorate is carried out by registering an electronic card.

The registration of participation in marketing promotions by registering an electronic card is carried out on the website of OJSC Russian Railways.

The sale of tickets and electronic tickets using rail and electronic cards is carried out at ticket offices connected to the "Express" Automated Control System, as well as on the Internet.

To register an electronic card, you must provide the personal data necessary to identify you as a user of services in the "Express" Automated Control System Sales System.

Upon completion of the registration of the electronic card, the user (passenger) is obliged to check the correctness of the personal data entered into the "Express" Automated Control System Sales System, which will be available on the electronic receipt for various fees.

The passenger’s personal data must correspond to the data specified in the document certifying his or her identity. If the personal data in the document is specified in two languages ​​(Russian and English), the information in the order should be filled in in Russian.

To issue electronic tickets using a special tariff plan, the user (passenger) is required to enter, in addition to his or her personal data, the identification number of the electronic card.

If an error is detected in the entered personal data, the user (passenger) will be denied access to a special tariff plan.

The user placing the order is fully responsible for the correctness of the travel details and the personal data of each passenger.

Tickets and electronic tickets using special tariff plans are issued at the rates for the transportation of adults and children.

The minimum age of the user of services for participation in marketing promotions is 10.

2. Features of registering travel under a special tariff plan

The effect of special tariff plans does not apply to service classes 1P (negotiation compartment), 1B (first class) and 1Zh (compartment suite).

The effect of the reduction factors provided for under special tariff plans applies to the cost of the ticket and reserved seat parts, with the exception of the cost of services included in the total cost of the ticket.

Payment for services for registration of participation in marketing promotions is made in the national currency.

The rates set for the payment for the service of joining a marketing campaign are not fixed and are subject to revision at the discretion of the carrier (OJSC Russian Railways).

Changes in rates for the payment for the service of joining a marketing campaign, as well as the conditions for participating in a particular campaign, are subject to revision by the carrier unilaterally, without notifying the participants in the campaign.

3. Boarding trains

Under the contract of carriage, the carrier undertakes to transport the passenger to the destination, providing him or her with a seat/berth on the train.

When boarding a long-distance train, the passenger must present a properly executed ticket or an electronic ticket boarding pass, as well as an identity document on the basis of which the registration was made.

If the passenger’s surname or the number of the identity document do not match the surname or number indicated on the ticket or electronic ticket, the passenger will not be allowed to board the train.

Tickets and electronic tickets issued under a special tariff plan are not transferable to other persons and are valid only upon presentation of the relevant documents certifying the passenger’s identity. Resales are not permitted.

The special tariff plans apply only to the owner of the rail card who is a participant in the marketing campaign. The transfer of a personalised rail card for use is not permitted.
