Implementation of Stage III of the rail system development in Eastern Russia

Stage III of the rail system development in Eastern Russia (until 2035)

The carrying capacity of the rail system in Eastern Russia will increase to 210 million tons by the end of 2030 and to 270 million tons by the end of 2032.

Construction and reconstruction (plan):

 

  • 180 second main track construction projects;
  • 47 double-track insert construction projects;
  • 120 station reconstruction projects;
  • 9 siding construction and reconstruction projects;
  • 3 rest homes for locomotive crews at Verkhnezeysk, Novy Urgal and Postyshevo;
  • 3 overpass interchanges at Izvestkovaya and Birobidzhan I stations and on the Tungussky – Dezhnevka and Volochayevka II – Dezhnevka sections;
  • 2 repairs of existing tunnels on the Severomuysky tunnel bypass;
  • 2 locomotive depots (Amurskoye and Tynda-Severnaya);
  • 1 reinforced traction power supply device on the Angarakan – Kazankan section;
  • 3 projects for the construction of the second Severomuysky, Kodarsky and Kuznetsovsky tunnels;
  • 1 object for the construction of a bridge across the Amur River;
  • 3 objects for the construction of a bypass of the Taishet station, the construction of a bypass around the Khabarovsk railway junction and a double-track bypass of the Smolyaninovo – Nakhodka section;
  • 1 Nakhodka-Vostochnaya station;
  • 2 activities, including simulation modelling and calculations of traction electricity.
