West-Siberian Railway

West Siberian Railway operates 5,676 km of track and passes through the territory of Omsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Tomsk Oblasts, Altai Territory and part of Kazakhstan.

Its main line passes through or close to two unique recreational areas, the federal resort of Belokurikha in the Altai region, and Gornaya Shoria, a ski resort in Kemerovo Oblast which has a reputation among holidaymakers as the Switzerland of Siberia.

West Siberian Railways is managed from Novosibirsk and transports mostly coal, construction materials, ferrous metals, oil and oil products.
