Vasily Frolov

Deputy Managing Director, Head of the East Siberian Railways

 

(Development of rail transport in Trans-Siberian Railway and the Baikal-Amur Main Line)

 

Born on 18 September 1965 in the village of Belogorsch in Bryansk Region.

Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers in 1988 with a degree in the Management of Transportation Processes in Railway Transport.

After graduating from the Institute, he rose from Fleet Duty Officer to Deputy Head of Kochetovka station at South-Eastern Railways.

Frolov then became head of Tambov station and held various senior positions at Moscow Railways.

Since December 2011, he has headed East Siberian Railways.

In February 2021, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Russian Railways & Head of the Railway Development Directorate, Eastern Division.

 

In June 2024, he was appointed head of the East Siberian Railways and released from his post as head of the Railway Development Directorate, Eastern Division.
